Summer is over and it’s back to school season here in Hong Kong. For college students and their parents, it means it’s shopping season for books and other school essentials. With the Notebook Ownership Program instituted by many universities and colleges here in HK, get discounts for laptops and other essential gadgets for school. Or if you are an alumni and plan to avail of these discounts for yourself, now would be a great time to use your University Credit Card!

Here are the schedule for the roadshows from some of the top schools here in Hong Kong. PolyU Notebook Ownership Program 2014Hong Kong Polytechnic University students, staff, and alumni can get discounts for Apple, Acer, and Lenovo notebooks and tablets through the school’s 2014 Notebook Ownership Program. The first road show has already wrapped up but you can still catch the second roadshow from 2-16 September from 10:30-20:30 (Mon-Fri) and 12:00-18:00 (Sat-Sun) at VA109-VA111, Shaw Amenities Building.You need to provide your PolyU student/ staff card to avail of the discounted price of HKD 999 to HKD 18,688 for different laptop models. You can also order online until September 16, 2014.

HKUSU Notebook Ownership Program 2014The second roadshow for the HKUSU Notebook Ownership Program is until 5 September 2014 only and will be open from 11:30 to 19:30 at the Lok Yew Hall, The University of Hong Kong. Acer, Fujitsu, and Apple are the partners for this event. Like the PolyU Notebook program, the discounts are offered to students, staff, and alumni of HKU. If you are an alumni of the University of Hong Kong and would like to avail of the discounts, you should present your HKU Credit Card, a copy of your HKU graduation certificate, or a copy of your HKU transcript. HKBU Student Union Notebook Ownership Program 2014The second roadshow for the Hong Kong Baptist University Student Union Notebook Ownership Program is scheduled from 22-27 September 11:00 – 19:30 (Mon-Fri) and 12:00 – 18:00 (Sat-Sun). Go to Room 302-303, 3/F Academic and Administration Building 15 Baptist University Road at the Kowloon Tong Campus during these dates to take advantage of these discounts.Getting a new laptop or tablet for yourself or your child who goes to any of these universities doesn’t need to be that expensive if you take advantage of the discounts through these notebook ownership programs.
